About Tom Spendlove

Fifteen years of progressive experience as a college educator teaching Engineering, CAD and Design. Constantly working to make the education relevant to what students will be doing in the field, and to make abstract theoretical material more hands-on and applied.Ten years experience as a Design Engineer has included everything from concepting products to taking products out of production. Worked closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Assembly, Production Control, Sales, Quality and Marketing learning their systems and functions in a larger company.Volunteer experience as FIRST Lego League referee, FIRST Robotics Competition mentor, Lawrence Tech RoboFest coordinator, Baker College Education Association union officer, SAE Governing Board member.
