I've worked with hundreds of clients and I am an advocate of the iterative cycle and constant improvements that the process yields.I also write for specialist publications like Optimizely and InVision. My typical workflow involves working with clients to understand their business needs before carrying out competitor research, creating user stories and journeys, wireframing, qualitative usability testing, interactive prototyping and hi fidelity UI design. Then further user testing, and ongoing iteration to improve users’ experience based on the results. I regularly work directly with developers, handing over requirements and quality checking. I choose to work with businesses with an established client base, and only those interested in establishing an ongoing relationship. It’s important to me to work with clients who understand the importance of investing in user experience long term for continuous improvement. I take on a very limited number of projects at any one time so I can give each project the dedication that it needs. My ideal client is a startup or growing business with paying customers who’s looking for a long term UX relationship, and can commit to at least 7 days work per month for at least 6 months. I currently have space to take on just one more client.
