In 2011 I decided to make a career change and pursue my long lived wish to be a (semi-) professional choral conductor. My aim is to perform music on the highest possible level. My interests lie in choral music in the broadest sense covering chamber music as well as the oratorio repertoire and ranging from early polyphonic 14th century music to the musical and pop repertoire and contemporary classical music of today. I like to link the classical repertoire to other repertoire such as musicals and good popular music in concerts with out of the ordinary programming. I seek opportunities with high level amateur- or semi-professional choirs or ensembles that have the ambition to improve themselves and together undertake musical challenges at the top of both our abilities.I am also interested in part-time or freelance job opportunities as a producer of cultural events or as a manager of (semi-)professional music ensembles. Projects aimed at creating and growing interest in music and singing with children or teenagers have my special interest.Specialties:- strong didactical skills to get the best out of my musicians in a motivating atmosphere for those that want to improve and learn.- strong organizational skills while also taking the artistic point of view into account- strong focus and perseverance to achieve goals, performing under pressure, no 9-5 mentality.
