Spearheaded a number of key functional departments, managing operations, networking, telecommunications, security, and disaster recovery. 20 direct reports including system, network and storage administrators. • Managed a data center with more than 100 terabytes of SAN storage and 1,800 network nodes. Storage platform included EMC/Symmetrix, Hitachi, Sun T3.• Wrote a backup and recovery RFP that led to system capable of 20 terabyte restores in 24 hours. System included HSM, vault management, and a serverfree SAN backup.• In telecommunications led several long distance, local, and data RFPs resulting in carrier conversion projects to promote cost saving opportunities.• Provided hands-on network equipment management for Cisco routers, switches, Access servers, local directors, PIX firewalls, NetRangers, and VPN Concentrators.• Decreased last mile telecommunications costs by designing and implementing two SONET rings.

Led a 65-member technology staff including systems, database, and storage administrators and managed an annual $14M+ capital budget. Served as interim Chief Information Officer, Senior Architect, Special Project Manager, and as a Programmer.• Managed infrastructure migration from mixed Novell/Windows environment running a proprietary database to and enterprise-class operation employing Sun/Solaris, Oracle, and EMC storage (Symmetrix. SRDF).• Worked in conjunction with senior staff in evaluating and acquiring four technology companies.• Designed and built two 10,000-square-foot redundant data centers with five 9’s of availability, featuring redundant power, networking, telecommunications, air-conditioning, and fire suppressors.• Delivered the data center construction and relocation project 5% under budget in less than six months.
