Responsible for the planning and on-time implementation of IT infrastructure for multiple new remote office locations. Current expansion locations include Tel Aviv, Israel and Johannesburg, South Africa. Work closely with multiple vendors and local and remote IT teams as part of the overall readiness process.

Designed an aftermarket car accessory product. Applied for and received a patent pending from USPTO, formed S-corporation, raised seed money, submitted final utility patent application which the USPTO is now reviewing. Working on manufacturer selection, marketing and a nation-wide advertising and distribution channel.

Worked as a Senior IT Program Manager overseeing the rollout of next generation Cisco Enterprise Collaboration Tools (WebEx, Jabber, Teams) across an employee population of 25,000 users. Was responsible for vendor and contract management, cross functional team alignment, scheduling and execution of various production releases of WebEx and Jabber. Releases were a series of aggressive sprints that were facilitated via daily SCRUM sessions.

Partnered with the Senior Director of IT to architect, schedule and execute a complete Data center relocation from the company’s existing office location in Watertown, MA to their new facility in Lexington. Created project plans, utilized JIRA, assisted with budgeting and physical setup, managed vendor relationships and worked with the entire IT team to achieve a successful move in date of mid-January.

Lead a data center hardware migration project to a new state-of-the-art facility located in Ashburn, VA. This was a complete hardware upgrade from legacy to new IBM platforms and involved real-time data replication while production was running. Lead several teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies for the project by holding daily stand up meetings and calls to ensure all parties had a vested interest, understanding, and mutual ownership in the project’s success. Managed key partnerships with other vendors for the project.

Led the feature development, team growth, and support of the ARX product, scaling the team to 95 engineers which encompassed all key disciplines required to ship a complete solution (hardware, software, quality assurance, release engineering, program management, documentation and sustaining engineering). • Collaborated with customers and partners to define product requirements and worked with Sales, Product Management, Marketing and Support to build a high performance platform that was feature rich and supportable. • Partnered in strategic business relationships with numerous storage industry companies including NetApp, EMC, Data Domain, Dell, Iron Mountain, etc. • Managed critical customer escalations and personally led problem resolution for our Fortune 100 customers. • Implemented the company decision to End of Life (EOL) the ARX product, and successfully transitioned the core engineering team onto development of BIG-IP products, while simultaneously creating a sustaining team to support ARX customers until product EOL is achieved in late 2017. • Continued to manage the BIG-IP development team in Lowell which built performance and statistics tools, along with core clustering/availability features for our customers.

Led a team of 75 engineers focused on successful development, integration and support of the ARX product. Assessed organizational need and implemented a reorganization plan to ensure all critical functions required to deliver a quality product were in place, eliminated ambiguity in roles and defined accountability with the team. Constantly assessed the organization and promoted key talent into required decision making roles. Built predictability and quality into the software and hardware release processes. Partnered with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Support to build a high performance platform that was industry changing for our customer base. Met with customers and partners to define product requirements and roadmap, and presented department results and goals to our board of directors for short and long term planning and decision making. Frequently traveled to customer sites to present roadmaps, solicit product feedback, and address product quality and feature deficit issues.

Managed a geographically dispersed team of 150 Engineers located in three USA locations and Bangalore, India. PowerPath is a host-based, kernel-level software product that provides high availability and load balancing for Enterprise applications with annual revenues of $200M and an annual operating budget of $20M. Led all Engineering activities required for successful development, qualification, and release of the product (Development, Quality Assurance, Release Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, and Documentation). Traveled quarterly to visit all remote sites: delivered key organizational messages and checked status of schedules, milestones and major deliverables. Successfully re-organized the department and reduced redundant infrastructure and management costs by 25%. During my tenure the team successfully shipped 35 releases of the product on time and within budget. Engineering interface to strategic customer relationships and Partners (Goldman Sachs, CitiGroup, Merrill Lynch, Fujitsu Siemens, etc.) in order to align product roadmaps and ensure seamless product integration. Routinely presented product roadmap and provided Q&A for customers at the EMC Executive Briefing Center.

Provided qualification and support of Operating Systems with a team of 55 engineers for servers and Host Bus Adapters released from major Platform vendors including Sun, IBM, HPQ, Microsoft, Unisys, and Fujitsu Siemens. Qualified HBA driver solutions from Qlogic, Emulex, and JNI. Responsible for the review and approval of critical sales requests (CSRs) for the products. Engaged on all aspects of partner/vendor relationships including Non Disclosure Agreements, Customer Support Agreements, customer round tables, and field escalations. Worked with Global Alliances, Channels Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to formalize, strengthen, and successfully align corporate goals with all platform vendors.

Managed a team of 45 engineers with full P&L responsibility for the identification, qualification, and support of new connectivity components released into the Fibre Channel marketplace. Products included bridges, switches, tape libraries, DWDM devices, and other emerging technologies. Engaged on all aspects of vendor relationships including roadmaps, quarterly reviews, project planning, scheduling and execution for SAN vendors including Qlogic, Emulex, JNI, Brocade, McDATA, Cisco, and Nortel. Managed demonstration team that show-cased all EMC software products in a SAN environment in fulfillment of executive and customer briefings. Provided field support for major customer accounts when technical issues escalated from Customer Support into Engineering.

Worked for various defense contractor firms including Raytheon, Hughes Aircraft, and RCA Service Company developing my software and project management skills. Software focused on development and testing of mission critical defense systems, which required a secret security clearance.
