CurrentFounded a consulting practice to help mitigate the risk associated with programs and projects undertaken by a business to deliver top line results (new products, businesses, markets, geographies, etc). In practice, a variety of "tools" are used to holistically identify growth opportunities and evaluate various options for those opportunities. Over 100 projects in a wide range of markets (human diseases, helicopter transmissions, off highway vehicles and portable music players for example) have been successfully completed for a diverse group of clients. Many were done in collaboration with Kesting Ventures Corp and/or Strategic Analysis Inc. Typical examples are:• Growth of a mature food package material was linked to specific performance attributes. They were improved and successfully introduced as a new product into existing markets at a premium price.• Superior part performance was claimed for a new metal finishing technology. Analysis showed that incremental improvement would result. Client saved $6 million and later lab results substantiated conclusion.• Rapid growth (65% market share) was forecast for an improved diesel engine part. Analysis showed growth potential of less than 5%. Client disregarded this finding and pursued the opportunity. Three years later client market share was 2%.
