About Tom Szelag

Engineer continually striving to challenge myself to learn and do new things - both personally and professionally.Most of my professional career has focused on motorsport vehicle dynamics, particularly tire science and modeling. This has ranged from designing test plans for lab and track testing to executing tests on-site at facilities like Calspan's TiRF and GCAPS NTRC, authoring custom tire models, data and model regression, driver-in-loop simulation support, providing race team performance recommendations, and developing an array of custom software to support all of these tasks. In previous employment, I've had exposure to OE and replacement market tire development, as well as some work in the aerospace industry with space life science research. In that role, I had an emphasis in design and manufacturing, programming and operating multi-axis CNC machinery.
