As digital health researcher and advisor I have one mission: to provide the healthcare sector with simple solutions that work. In my opinion, the majority of digital health solutions are too fancy and way too complicated. Healthcare providers are under constant time pressure and already have to work with numerous systems. Thus, any new tool should be as simple as possible. The same goes for patients or study participants, who often have busy lives and some already experience information overload. As a researcher I’ve learned that simple solutions optimize participation and retention rates. Currently, I work for the Radboud Health Innovation Labs. I also encourage 1500+ researchers at the Radboud Institute for Health Sciences to explore new (digital) ways of data collection. In addition, I support the Nijmegen government in the clusters Health & High Tech on Digital Health. My goal is to connect challenges in healthcare with relevant solutions from companies. The healthcare sector cannot do it alone!
