Design of a 6 DoF high accuracy positioning stage.

Side job.Operation, adjustment and maintenance of Computer Numerical Controlled machines in 3 shifts. Most of the work is done with 5 & 6 axis milling machines and CNC lathes. This job also includes using several high-end measuring techniques (like 3D measurements & contour measurements) to guarantee a high accuracy process. Mifa is famous for it's precision extrusion, because this is a very important aspect of the company, working for Mifa also gave me insights in extrusion of aluminum.

Internship study on writing optical waveguides in glass using a Femtosecond Laser.

I worked as a full-time Mechanical Engineer for Nedinsco after finishing my Pre-Master and waiting for my Master to start. I worked on several projects which all involded high-accuracy optical system for the Semiconductor and Defence market.

As my graduation project I did a cost analysis of an optical system designed and produced by Nedinso. The result of the project was a new, cheaper to produce design and several recommendations on how to lower the costs for general production at Nedinsco.

For my internship at Weir Minerals I designed a valve handling tool to improve the handling of these heavy valves (>20kg) which was previously done by hand.

Helping with the daily activities within the company.This includes the harvesting and sorting of cucumbers and tomatoes.
