I have spent the last 20 years in entrepreneurial ventures and advocacy within the renewable energy sector primarily in the category of distributed and community wind with North Coast Wind & Power, LLC which I and others built from scratch and Ventera Wind, Inc. which North Coast acquired. I was a principal investor and officer in both. We terminated operations of both firms in 2017 in an orderly wind down due to unfavorable economic conditions for the distributed wind industry in the USA. Since then I have been engaged in Climate activism and managing a variety of personal real estate investments. I have a broad understanding of the entire renewable/sustainable/green sector based on years engagement in multifaceted projects in the sector.Prior to founding North Coast I took a brief four year foray into the private equity and securities industry with Continental Capital Corporation in Toledo Ohio were I was hired initially as an internal consultant to private equity clients and later held several upper management positions, including General Securities Principal, Secretary, Treasurer, VP and Executive VP positions.My earlier career included a broad array of consulting and officer level positions in entrepreneurial ventures in real estate development, manufacturing, logistics with two focuses--complex restructuring and "workouts", and brownfield and urban redevelopment.
