Upon graduating from highschool with an honours degree, I was accepted into the University of Barcelona's biomedical sciences program with a full scholarship. By then, I was sure of my love of science and that i wanted to dedicate my professional life to science. During my bachelor's, I enjoyed learning and grew like I had never imagined, studying the different fields of science to which we were introduced. When I graduated, I held a total of 10 honour titles.During my studies, I formed part of the research group lead by Dra. Susana Merino. Under her guidance, I received a collaboration scholarship and was a member of her research team for a total of 3 years. In this group, I entered the world of bacterial virulence factors studies, a field that has a promising future for the development of new vaccines, diagnostic tests, and new therapeutical techniques for antibiotic resistent bacteria. Additionally, I worked on the clonation and description of different glicosiltransferases that are part of the glicosilation of bacterial polar flagella, a demonstrated bacterian virulence factor. Due to these experiences, I decided to dedicate my Bachelor's and Master's final projects to this research. My Master's degree in advanced microbiology would add to my interest in the development of new techniques in the field of clinical microbiology. Currently, I am studying a Master's degree on monitorization of clinical trials in CESIF with the objective of entering the pharmaceutical industry as a CRA or a Quality Assurance trainee. My purpose is to work to enhance the greater public's quality of life and to invest my time, effort, and knowledge on this path to aid humanity's health.
