The job took place at dining halls named The North Side Bistro and The Upper Deck.I was responsible for knowing several different food stations and how to properly run, clean, and maintain them. The shifts were 4 hours long at the most so it was important to constantly keep busy. If there were no customers to serve, I thoroughly cleaned my station and helped other workers that were stationed around me. We developed good communication and teamwork to maximize efficiency. If one worker had to leave the station to get more supplies or use the restroom, the others kept an eye on the empty station in case customers arrived. My subconscious focus was to ensure a maximum level of food safety and sanitation. Some of my shifts took place in the dish room. As mentioned above, cleanliness was my highest priority. I learned how to run, fix, and maintain the complex dish machine. In the event that a malfunction was out of my capability and the professional maintenance crew wasn't available, we came up with temporary solutions.

Patrolled Delaware and Chester County during Hurricane Sandy crisis and assisted those who needed it. During drills, we focused on mastering our responsibilities as infantrymen. Discipline, logic, and finding optimizations for every situation was quickly solidified in our platoon. Our company was specialized in Stryker vehicles. This impressive and versatile machine had many moving (and digital) parts that required teamwork and expert knowledge to operate effectively. In my squad, I was one of the two light machine gunners. My weapon was the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon. Free time was dedicated to learning, assembling, and cleaning the weapon.

The warehouse focused on using forklifts to move and store products. Every employee was required to be proficient in operating a forklift. In my two seasons of work, I never had any forklift related incidents. During the busy weeks where countless orders needed to be shipped, many shifts were 10-14 hours long. Despite the workload, my only mistake was missing a small box of chlorine tablets in one of the orders. The job was only seasonal but I was offered full-time work for my exemplary work.
