Modular Automation is a company based in Shannon, Ireland and Jacksonville, Florida who deliver innovative automation solutions for advanced biotech manufacturers worldwide.I worked as part of the mechanical design team heavily involved in the design of a large scale automated process machine for an orthopedic company. I was also involved in the concept design phase of a highly complex automated machine for a large biotech company in the US.I was also involved in a number of small scale projects as well as continuous improvement projects and implemented an update to the companies design template which improved productivity within the design department.

I worked as a senior beach lifeguard for the summer of 2017 and 2018 with Galway County Council.I was responsible for the safeguarding of the public while also providing assistance and first aid in highly stressful situations. The job required a high level of skill as well as the ability to act quickly and efficiently in serious and stressful rescue situations. My communication skills were greatly improved from dealing with the public and my team leadership skills were enhanced as I mentored new lifeguards.

In my second year of mechanical engineering, I was selected to provided help and guidance to first year Engineering students with their CAD Design labs.
