Serving member of An Garda Síochána - Ireland's National Police and Security Service with over 15 years of experience. In my career to date I have worked on a number of complex investigations, major events, community policing iniatives, as well as developing policy, strategy and governance. I have been recognised with several commendations for excellent police work.My first allocation focused on frontline uniform duties. In this role I had a particular interest in community policing and the implementation of crime prevention and reduction strategies. I later took up a frontline administrative role with successes such as the introduction of more efficient work procceses, succesful planning for major events, introduction of a work experience programme for transition year students, and improved stakeholder management, to name but a few. On promotion to Sergeant, I led a team frontline members engaged in response policing and community engagement. In addition, I held a number of portfolios related to child welfare, sexual offences, warrants, business planning, licencing and immigration. On taking up my new role as an Inspector, my responsibilities included receiving and directing investigations, prosecuting cases, stakeholder engagement, personnel development, quality assurance and performance management. Colleagues know me as a highly motivated individual who can always be trusted to come up with a new approach or solution to a problem. I know that the community comes first in everything we do. I work well alone, but I’m at my best collaborating with others and leading my team.I have an MA and BA from University College Dublin and a BA from the Garda Síochána College.Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.I am not currently looking for any new opportunities.
