 Responsible for collecting, compiling and processing over 3M in payroll and 1.5M in union benefits utilizing QuickBooks. Administer and calculate deductions for all employee benefits including group health, life, disability, pension, retirement programs and 401(k) plan contributions.  Maintain records surrounding accumulation of PTO benefits, sick time, holidays and leaves of absence. Ensure the organization is meeting all federal and state compliance regulations and guidelines from a payroll and benefit perspective.  Generate monthly reports for executive management including the reporting of commission and bonus pay with supporting documentation. Produce and comply with all federal, state and local tax payments and prepare wage reports as requested.  Assist employees with payroll, benefit and document requests.  Review and verify all source documents for new hires and complete the required internal documentation for file and audit.  Maintain professional relationships with union representatives and consistently review union bylaws.  Process payroll changes within a timely fashion including terminations, increases, transfers, promotions and status changes.
