- Customer service – I am the senior point of contact for customers, complaints enquiries, - Manage at team of volunteers including adults at risk and under 16s. This includes interviewing prospective volunteers, conducting health and safety inductions and training people to do tasks - Work within a team of mangers to ensure the successful running of the shop to raise as much profit for the charity as possible, also work within a wider network of shops providing support and cover- Attend networking meetings and regularly take conference calls - Work both alone and with other managers - Organise deliveries, liaise with 3rd party services - Responsible for money, cashing up and security- Pricing, stock management, space management - Administration - Run events to raise money for charity and talks to local business to raise awareness of a national campaign the charity was running In June I was asked to take over the management of the shop on a temporary basis following the departure of the Store Manager, meaning that I have had additional responsibilities including:- Working with placement providers to ensure the shop has adequate volunteers - Looking after the maintenance and arranging repairs when necessary - Creating a rota for staff and volunteers to ensure that the shop is covered and always working as efficiently as possible - Helping train new members of staff as well as key volunteers
