Toni has been a practising psychologist for over 20 years, and the Clinical Director at the Psychology, Counselling & Wellbeing Centre since 2017.Toni brings a warm, professional and collaborative treatment approach that is client-centred and reflects the unique goals and values of each individual.Toni provides an evidence-based approach to treatment utilising strategies based in cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and schema therapy. A background in both public and private sectors have provided Toni with experience in working with a broad range of clients with diverse backgrounds and clinical presentations. Toni provides individual therapeutic intervention for adolescents and adults. She supports people with mood and anxiety disorders as well as interpersonal relationship difficulties and trauma. She is interested in the treatment of challenges arising from adjusting to a variety of health conditions including, but not limited to, menopause and cardiac events, and works with individuals to develop non-diet approaches to eating behaviour, helping clients to overcome body image challenges and supporting people pre and post bariatric surgery. Toni is an accredited Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. She has a strong foundation of clinical experience informed by over 20 years of practice. Additionally, Toni is an accredited ‘Daring Way” facilitator after completing Brené Brown’s practitioner training in America. Toni is a qualified Hypnotherapist and a Heart Foundation Ambassador.
