Toni Ramirez is a Rutgers University graduate who received a B.A. in Cinema Studies and Gender and Media. Growing up as a plus-size person, Toni was presented with little to zero television and film representation that resonated with them. As a result of this, Toni was inspired to create media that represented a more diverse group of people. Toni has created several short films exploring topics of gender, sexuality, and body image using several different mediums including mixed media, stop-motion animation, and 2D animation. Toni is well-versed in applications including Adobe Premiere Pro and OpenToonz, with some experience in Blender.Toni's passion for filmmaking and gender studies contributes to their drive to produce media that properly represents marginalized communities.In their free time, Toni enjoys playing PC games, watching claymation films, and being in nature.
