Initial role was Manager of the Mardi Gras Recycle center. As manager I was the supervisor to 7 adults working full time who had developmental disabilities. This role also negotiated large scale contracts with Mardi Gras Krewes to provide throws. Responsible for recruiting and hosting corporate and community volunteers. Recruited another 2500 new volunteers in 2018.Development Officer- responsible to raise corporate and community donations. This was done by prospecting, presentations, networking, and grant writing.

Lead implementation and provided oversight to FEMA $7.6 million federal grant. Contracted and reported to state of LA, Department of Children and Family Services, and subcontracted with partnering agencies to provide disaster case management services to survivors of Hurricane Isaac.Responsibilities included:- Contract performance, contract amendments, budget revisions.-Managing stakeholder relationships with government representatives at state, federal and parish level, with subcontractors and community organizations such as Red Cross, Long Term Recovery Organizations, United Way, and others. -Developed program manual, goals and outcomes for program, program forms and tools. Established program policies and procedures assuring compliance with contracts.-Monitored program performance assuring all contractual performance indicators were achieved or exceeded.-Trained all contracting staff as needed at main sight, webinars, field visits.-Conducted programmatic site visits reviewing program performance, addressing gaps in performance, understanding needs of community. - Worked with state representatives in Office of Community Development, and Louisiana Housing Corporation to develop relevant housing programs for displaced families, and those with disaster related unmet needs. Responsibilities also included managing and guiding Catholic Charities Disaster Case Management department. Program Manager, Supervisors, case managers and other staff reported to director.Main achievement of project was producing an 80% ROI for the state of Louisiana and FEMA, delivering $5.3 million in services to residents of Louisiana to recover from Hurricane Isaac.

Deploy New Jersey

Deployed to New Jersey with CCUSA serving on Immediate Disaster Case Management team. Acted as case manager in southern NJ partnering with FEMA Disaster Recovery Center. Provided advocacy, resource connections to victims of Super Storm Sandy. Assisted families through advocacy to obtain insurance funds, FEMA Individual Assistance funds, and county services. Connected with community groups and FEMA VALs to support partnering to develop VOAD in area.

Deployed with American Red Cross in response to Hurricane Isaac and Super Storm Sandy in 2012. 1) Hurricane Isaac: Represented the Community Partner Network working with all VOAD Committees and newly formed Long Term Recovery Groups in South Louisiana. Offered training and support on use of CAN database in after math of Hurricane Isaac.2) Super Storm Sandy: Represented the National Community Partnership group at the Red Cross DRC table. Was part of team developing a new case work model. Provided technical information regarding CAN database and case worker field functions. Trained 100 new case workers (reservists) on CAN database. GREAT Experience!!

Consulted with program leadership on program guidance in response to BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in 2010. Provided input and worked with leadership team in development of program manual for disaster case management, establishing program goals and outcomes. Trained all contracting agencies on use of CAN database for program tracking. Established key indicators for program. Monitored for data quality, provided clean up oversight, and looked for outliers and problems. Provided training at main sight, webinar, and field visits as needed.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana Area

Responsible for management and maintenance of 2.1 million in real estate. These units housed families enrolled in Catholic Charities programs. Such as, immigrant families, homeless pregnant ladies, homeless families, and very low income families. All families were in transition toward self sufficiency. Responsibilities included: property maintenance, lease implementation, rent collection, evictions if required, development of housing policies, reported to local government representatives regarding CDBG grants assuring properties were in compliance, major and minor renovations developing scope of work with contractors, working with budgets, and completion of new construction project.Perform due diligence searches as needed. Coordinated team to complete a federal and parish application for new construction projects.Agency was offered CDBG -HUD funds to expand housing units and build a new structure.

Southern Louisiana -Region East/West

Phase 1: part of immediate response team implementing the new federal Immediate Disaster Case Management Pilot being administered by CCUSA on behalf of FEMA and the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). Worked with Americorps NCCC team and CCUSA staff and contractors training and monitoring data entry/quality into the Coordinated Assistance Network (CAN) database, monitoring file compliance and security, providing weekly data reports to ACF on behalf of CCUSA.Phase 2: worked as staff on the FEMA federal grant, Disaster Case Management Pilot Program (DCMP) responding to Hurricane Gustav/Ike. Primary responsibility was to assure data entry compliance and integrity for program leadership. Job duties included: Training staff of 14 subcontractors( up to 160 staff) on CAN database, and program guidelines and standards. In depth training consisted of assuring a common understanding of terms, concepts, and unique program indicators. Monitoring for data integrity, quality and clean up, identifying outliers and problems. Trained at main training sights, Webinars, email newsletters, and sight visits as required.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana Area

Served as a leader on the long term disaster recovery team for this agency. Responsibilities included:-Supervisor on federal grant Katrina Aid Today, and State grant Louisiana Family Recovery Corps, programs which provided disaster case management services to survivors of Hurricane Katrina/Rita.- Disaster Case Management Supervisor/Program Management: supervised up to 15 case managers serving displaced population of New Orleans in Baton Rouge region after Hurricane Katrina. Responsibilities included: resource development, case management training, collaboration with other responding organizations, direct assistance allocation and approval, outreach toward survivors, file/data monitoring, program quarterly reports.-Data Manager: became national expert on Coordinated Assistance Network(CAN) database provided by American Red Cross to non profit organizations responding in disaster events. Acting as State Liaison since 2007.-Long Term Recovery Organizations (LTRO): supervised case managers to coordinate application packets for clients with damaged homes or unmet disaster related needs, to obtain funds to repair dwellings or meet basic needs. - Collaboration with regional VOAD groups, Red Cross and other community partners, government stakeholders like FEMA representatives, State of Louisiana representatives, and parish governments.-Volunteer Management: managing "Albany Angels" volunteer teams which rotated every 3 weeks. This team provided support to the case management process as needed, matching skills with need was integral for a successful volunteer experience.
