Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with minors in Art History and Visual Arts from Lander University. Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential and an American Hospital Association’s Health Forum Healthy Communities Fellow. Seven years of experience in preparing middle school and high school students for post-secondary education and careers. Twenty-three years of total program responsibility for two nonprofit community-based organizations. Proven effectiveness in the areas of academic achievement, school success, and life-skills that impact school performance and college access, readiness, enrollment, and success preparing students for lifelong education. GEAR UP stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. This grant is a cohort model grant, with our cohort being the entire 11th grade. The grant is working with the 2020 graduates of LDHS 55 and started in the 7th grade. I serve as the graduates (368 graduates) mentor, life coach, and counselor. -
