I am a case coordinator. I review and document durable medical benefits for medicare, group ins and workers compensation. I request authorization from utilization review companies and claims adjustor. I follow up with authorization request, document coverage, and call patient's and explain their benefits to them. My primary focus is mainly on workers comp. I make sure that the claim is a good claim, meaning that it is payable claim, I negotiate contract rates with other payors and make sure that new orders are follow up on.
