WE ARE CHANGING THE MANUFACTURING WORLD OF TOMORROW. watttron GmbH is a start-up company founded at the Institute of Natural Materials Technology of the Technical University of Dresden and the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging Dresden. watttron was founded in February 2016.Our target is to implement the best possible solutions for the usage of materials and for the energy needs of our customers through the use of intelligent heating systems: we aim to reduce the energy requirements of our products and to help our products to achieve flexible and highly efficient production.

Building and maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship with our major customer Pringles (€ 60 MM/p.a.) and our Mechelen (Belgium) production site. Exploring expansion opportunities via international projects in different geographies. Identifying synergies with other categories inside Kellogg to expand our business portfolio. Furthermore developping Category Management for Snacks and Stacked Chips in particular in order to grow the synergies inside the Weidenhammer organisation. Additional responsibility for the Key Account Procter & Gamble (P&G), which was the previous brand owner of Pringles. After the acquisition of the Weidenhammer Packaging Group by Sonoco Consumer Products in October 2014 integrating this strategic business into the Sonoco - Kellogg global partnership.

Temporary assignment to manage the required change and enable the transition of the company's ownership with the above mentioned acquisition by Sonoco. Reorganising the Sales Department and ensuring that the 'foundations' of the site were updated and streamlined, so that the (Management-) Team could function optimally. This role was combined with my role as Key Account Director (see above)

Responsible for the P&L of the plant, including Sales, Purchasing, Operational and HR. Restructured and turned the company around on 3 occassions, due to changing market dynamics.

Opening up new markets for a niche packaging format (cardboard drums) and growing the customer base from approximately 5 customers with this format to some 75 customers, through developing sustainable export markets in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Scandinavia and the USA.

Responsible for managing all advertising (daily and weekly), catalogues and instore promotions, delivering within the agreed times and budgets. These Public Relations and Sales Promotions provedcritical in adding value to the business and created a household name for the company in the Rotterdam region.

Copywriting and editing the daily advertisements. Providing fit for purpose copy, headlines, body copyand pay offs for the catalogues (mail order and leaflets). Ensuring that all deadlines were met with printers, media and internally as Traffic Manager.
