Led projects that helped get an innovative sorting technology, based on digital watermarks, to a high technology readiness level. This will enable intelligent sorting of packaging, important to close the chain and comply with European legislation. Working towards market introduction, we worked intensively with all stakeholders in the chain and gave presentations to promote the sorting solution in the Netherlands and Europe. This gave a good view on the functioning of the chain and the system change needed to make it circular. - Involved in the transition from linear to circular use of plastic and fibre-based packaging by developing a vision and drafting a roadmap in line with EU/NL legislation.- Conducted extensive consultations with all chain partners and stakeholders in NL/EU to ensure alignment and cooperation relevant to the transition process.- Supported retailers and producers in developing test packaging equipped with CurvCode to promote practical implementation and use of the technology.- Organised, planned, coordinated and conducted (semi-)industrial tests aimed at market introduction and implementation of CurvCode technology at sorters (NL/EU), including preparation of test reports.- Participated in initiatives such as Plastic Pact NL Food2Food (2021) and led the Coalition Food2Food 2.0 (2022) and consortium formation for circular HDPE milk containers (2023), driving tangible progress towards circularity goals.- Contributed to EU Horizon 2020 projects, including CIMPA for multilayer flexibles and Sol-Rec2 for pouches and medicine packaging, promoting advances in sustainable packaging solutions.

Successfully carried out many IT projects and software implementations as a business consultant, interim manager, service provider or project manager. Initially mostly focused on improving publishing processes and workflows, and realising cost savings. Then increasingly focused on digital transformations. Stimulated the development of online communities and e-commerce. From 2017 to 2018, held various interim positions (advisor, board secretary and director) at Audax, Viab Holding, Audax Continuity Foundation and Jacques de Leeuw Foundation. - Led Audax Digital in 2018, designed and implemented an enterprise-wide IT strategy and platform based on service-oriented architecture and PWA, including a B2B application for ordering English-language books in the Netherlands.- Established service models that enabled sustainable and cost-effective publishing practices (from print to digital), streamlined procurement processes, realised large cost savings for customers.- Was responsible for numerous IT projects, software implementations and digital transitions.- Developed online communities and business models.- Contributed to executive-level decision-making processes and influenced company policies and growth strategies.

- Responsible for the magazines HP/De Tijd, AvantGarde, Weekend, Aktueel, Vriendin, Glossy, Girlz!, Mijn Geheim, Intiem and Candlelight pocket.- MT member, responsible for the overall operations and budget and the departments of marketing, sales, purchasing, traffic, ICT and online.- Contributed significantly (approx. 50%) to an annual doubling of profits in the period 2000-2006, thanks to operational cost savings through technical innovations, better purchasing and new revenues from digital activities.
