Stores — an acronym for Save Money And Retire Tomorrow.Encompassing the Price Club 'big-box' store layout, instead of a one-store discount approach, the SMART Membership Card would be used at a wide variety of affiliate chains allowing a SMART Member to obtain 5-15% additional discounts when presenting their SMART Card at the point of purchase.Responsibilities included the branding and operations structuring of the company's pre-launch phase for 18 months. Designed the software architecture for tracking purchases outside the SMART Stores and developed the Membership Rewards programming, communications and quarterly reporting vehicles for Members.Sol Price was a genius and his ideas have been stolen, borrowed and otherwise hijacked to create WalMart and other membership stores worldwide.
