The Motor Transport Officer (MTO) is in charge of the Infantry Battle Schools MT Operation in Brecon, Wales. I am the MT Equipment Manager and the Authorised Demanding Officer for the General Support vehicles. The Regimental Career Management Officer is the unit's focal point for Professional and Personal Development advice on soldier career and vocational education, learning and accreditation. I advised the Commanding Officer, chain of command and individual soldiers on all aspects of soldier career management, education and development. Responsible for the management of 650 personnel based in a variety of countries dealing with assignments, discipline, promotion and education.Assist with and where appropriate deliver Formal Career Review (Soldier) to all soldiers.Develop and be the focus for the Unit Retention Plan and Unit Recruitment Plan to ensure managed retention and manpower recruitment levels are maintained and monitored.Conduct appropriate career counselling and interviews in support of the Unit Retention Plan.

The Regimental Sergeant Major's primary role is to be the soldier's voice of experience within the unit where the soldier's matters are of interest or concern. The most Senior Warrant Officer within the unit using a 'Lead by Example' ethos to maintain discipline and standards. The RSM has a wide and ranging interest and knowledge in all current Infantry lines of development and seeks to be the conduit for feeding current information, views and feelings both up and down the Chain of Command. Monitor the welfare and well being of all soldiers and their families.Maintain discipline and standards appropriate to the policies and procedures expected.Educate throughout the Chain of Command both up and down.Manage the fund appropriately and chair meetings within the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess on a Monthly basis.
