Creating best-in-class consumer driving navigation experiences on Google Maps

Designer for driving navigation on Google Maps and Maps CarPlay.

Working with Zazzle, our team sought to establish a new paradigm to young people’s gifting experience through emerging tech, and how this experience can be molded to strengthen young people's relationships. Our ideation and design processes are informed by in-depth designresearch methods.

As part of CMU’s APG project, my team built a horror game integrated with Twitch.tv, in which a main player can interact with the audience, and crowd sourced interactions can impact the outcome of the game. I led my team in the game UX, atmosphere, and level structure. Our project received a Finalist position at CHI PLAY 2017 Amsterdam.

Adae.co was student made peer to peer platform where users could post and request services from one another, as well as homemade products or things they'd like to sell. - Led the development team through various stages in the product life cycle.- On top of designing mock ups, I also learned HTML, CSS and Javascript during the course of development and was involved heavily in front-end web development. - Designed the mobile responsive web view and also brought it to life through HTML and CSS, developed a solid understanding of designing for mobile.

Arima.io was a student run web based market research tool that visualized data collected from fun, interactive surveys. - In a team of 6, I led the dev team and launched a complete overhaul of the user interface of the site, as well as product development. - Learned how to work closely with web developers and gained a much better understanding of designing within dev cycles and dead lines.- Learned how to style websites using HTML and CSS.

I worked closely with the marketing team that supported the Teranet products GeoWarehouse and ViMo. My role was primarily an in-house graphic designer, and I gained first hand experience in the creation of web graphics, printed advertisements, web advertisements, and the process of marketing new products. I also gained valuable experience in the design process of mobile apps (ViMo), by working closely with the marketing team, product managers, and the developers, I was able to extend my skills into UI in addition to being exposed to UX design.

I played a central role in the redesign of the brand, image, and products of the start up company, as well as in the design of posters and fliers to promote company events. I gained a first hand experience in how a start up company markets itself and the importance of brand consistency.
