In 2010 I completed the NZIBS Book Editing, Proofreading and Publishing diploma. Working from home I currently offer text editing and proofreading services, specialising in technical, reference and business documents.

In April 2000 I formed my company MQC Ltd. specialising in IBM's MQSeries and Message Broker product set. I undertook a number of off-shore and NZ-based engagements during this period, for clients that included NAB (Aust), Australian Customs, Australian Tax Office, Zurich Financial Services (Aust), Sema Schlumberger (Chile), Standard Charter Bank (Malaysia), IAG (Aust), Air New Zealand, Earthquake Commission (NZ), Coles (Aust), Allianz (Aust). At the end of 2009 I decided to retire from IT consulting/contracting work.

I took early retirement from IBM NZ Ltd at the end of 1991 and became an independent IT consultant specialising in Systems Architecture. During the period 1991-2000 I undertook engagements for NBNZ, Telecom, IBM NZ, Air New Zealand, Clear Communication, Southern Cross, Department of Health and BankDirect as well as a number of other organisations.
