I have over 30 years experience as a manager at all levels of organisations including five directorships. My career has focused on higher education (teaching, learning, research and knowledge transfer), consultancy and regeneration. For four years, I headed up an international NGO based in Brussels. I have worked as a Senior Lecturer in Business and Management Studies and have set up and run three successful commercial HE Knowledge Transfer Centres: The University of Cumbria’s Business Community Enterprise Unit (BCEU); City University’s Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer and SOAS’ Research and Enterprise Directorate. Prior to taking up my post at SOAs I was London Metropolitan University’s Head of Enterprise Projects with responsibility for all aspects of the University’s Enterprise and Knowledge Transfer activity. Since 3005 I have managed my own performance improvement consultancy – TLD Associates.
