We will be listening to the community, doctors, nurses, public officials and other stakeholders, and working with the UMC board to identify strategic options that offer the best path forward for UMC.We will work with the board to develop a model that offers UMC the best opportunity to have a financially sustainable future while meeting the needs of the community.We will then execute the plan and monitor the progress toward that strategic vision.

Manage a small but complex network with minimal resources. Performs all aspects of management of our Cisco VoIP servers (Call manager, Cisco Unified Message Management). Configured and now oversee the network systems to include back-up, patch management, user accounts, network and wireless connections, switch, router, firewall configuration and management. Configure and manage Virtual servers using Microsoft Hyper-V. Currently in the process of developing the disaster recovery plan to include an implementation plan. Routinely performs evaluation of network health. Provides network troubleshooting failures both software and hardware. Provide connectivity assistance for various types of physical devices. Conducts one on one and class room training for users and other staff on applications, LAN connectivity and PC configuration as the needs are identified. Additionally performs such engineering functions as developing network drawings, and continually documenting the changing in topology. Monitors various logs in an effort to identify problems before there is an issue, and takes action to mitigate any issues that may have already occurred.

Performed both managerial and senior technical functions related to the Potomac Hospital automation network. Served as the Technology officer, identifying solutions that enhance the quality of services and reduce operational cost. Duties included identifying requirements, evaluating solutions, selecting, purchasing, and managing the installation of all network infrastructure devices (Switches, Routers, Wiring, and Hubs). Developed and implemented the IT policies and procedures. Implemented the IT portion of the strategic plan. Developed budget projections for the Executive Vice Presidents. Assisted Department Directors and their staff in identifying their specific IT requirements. Identified the various options for meeting the requirements and communicated them in non technical terms. Assisted with the evaluation and selection of the best options. Managed the implementations of the solution. Established and enforced standards for Network systems, software, and peripherals. Managed all levels of technical assistance to users from desktops support to remote Internet connectivity. Installed, configured and maintain firewalls and remote access systems. Systems Engineer - Project Manager

Provided day-to-day supervision of personnel assigned to the Network Configuration Management Team at Walter Reed. That included Windows NT Administrators, ccMail Administrators, Network Administrators, Network Workstation Configuration Management team, and Web design specialist. Coordinated assignments, promoted teamwork, established goals based on contract requirements, developed and presented metrics based on the customer’s request, and met customer expectations based on mutually agreed upon task list. Provided technical oversight and engineering solutions to daily network problem. Managed financial aspects of the contract to insure budget was maintained. There were three contracts for a total of 40 personnel and approximately 4.5 million dollars. He identified growth opportunities and provided proposed solutions to the customer that resulted in the expansion of the contract by nearly a million dollars that year.
