1. Manage a number of low and medium density residential projects in various locationsaround Australia, via both regular visits to sites and through the use of on-site project managers. Actively participate in regular Project Management Group meetings.2. Actively promote and maintain awareness of WHS requirements across all projects.3. Manage all tender and procurement processes involved with the projects in accordance with DHA policy and guidelines. Prepare external consultancy briefs/contracts and manage external resources.4. Provide all necessary contract administration throughout the construction phase including the co-ordination of day to day management of construction projects and oversight of process, preparation of correspondence, contracts, variation schedules, handover processes and processing of progress claims for payment. Maintenance of high quality project records and files on all project, financial and risk activities, approvals and decisions is also required.5. Develop and maintain relationships and liaise with all internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis in order to provide progress reports and guidance on construction activity.6. Provide progress reports and Board papers as requested and update DHA systems (e.g. Jira, PMS, HSM, HomeFind and Estate Master) regularly and accurately for construction projects to monitor achievement of approved and planned targets, budgets, program and risks.7. Oversee project time, cost and quality, including Extension of Time and Variations as well as certification and processing of payments.8. Provide support to PPG relative to your building industry and project management knowledge.

1. Lead, direct and enhance a team of staff focused on delivering operational service delivery, within the national framework, for Property and Tenancy services. Encourage high levels of team performance through effective leadership, mentoring, coaching, training, workforce planning and performance management in order to achieve KPIs and service level targets.2. Exercise sound decision making and judgement to produce high level policy advice, solve complex problems and issues management. Recommend strategic directions for area of responsibility whilst considering wider business implications.3. Manage and monitor performance of the regional Repairs and Maintenance and Civilian Tenancy panels. Through monitoring and active contractor management practices, ensure the panels achieve KPIs and deliver cost effective services. Provide recommendations on the engagement of new contractors and any terminations required.4. Regularly monitor and report to Management on performance trends for Property and Tenancy for your region. Take responsibility for the achievements of own and team outcomes.5. Lead and manage the Property and Tenancy staff in decision making on business requirements such as risk managing the asset portfolio, actively applying contractor management principles, management of the Repairs and Maintenance budget and service delivery issues.6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Australian Defence Force representatives, third party providers and DHA’s Regional and Executive Management.7. Model and provide a high level of customer service by developing, maintaining and managing customer relationships, including resolution of complex complaints. Provide written advice to DHA stakeholders on disputes regarding regional Property and Tenancy issues.
