I have been working in the timber industry since 1991. From 1991 to 2005 our company designed, built and installed large scale softwood sawmills capable of processing up to 500,000m3 of timber p.a. Some of these have been complete turnkey systems. In the past 13 years the focus has switched towards managing the biomass waste from sawmills and other timber industry processors. These include designing, constructing and installing briquette and pellet processing plants. and waste to energy systems. An integral component of this has been to also identify new markets for the products and work to develop these markets to ensure successful penetration to support the businesses. Today our business focus has been sharpened to concentrate on developing the wood pellet business in Australia and introduce world class equipment and technology into the local market. We do this by collaborating with specialist European suppliers to deliver cost effective turnkey solutions for our customers and partners. We also distribute pellet consuming devices such as pellet heaters and boilers in the Australian market.

I started this business from scratch in 1996 by building a purpose built factory in Eden, NSW. We purchased a fully automated robot controlled production line from Europe and commenced manufacturing collars in Australia. Today we are still the only manufacturer of pallet collars in Australia. We use timber from sustainable pine plantations across Australia. Our customer base extends across Australia and we sell product into every State and Territory. The business is very focussed on delivering exceptional customer service and delivering a world class product into growth markets across Australia. As CEO I oversee all aspects of this small business from managing cash flows, setting market strategy, designing new accessory products to increase the customer spend and driving the shift towards web based information flows between customer and company.

I purchased the business known as Reneco Engineering in 1991 and was CEO until 2008. The company was subsequently split in two and Recycling Technologies Group was formed. I am currently a co-owner of RTG. From 1991 - 2008 I was actively involved in designing and building sawmills around Australia. Our customers included CSR Timber, Carter Holt Harvey, Boral Timber, Highland Pine Products, Brown & Dureau and many more smaller saw milling companies. During this time we imported a lot of critical machine centres from Europe and matched them with locally designed and constructed equipment to deliver many successful projects.
