    Navis LightShip Development Kit• Developed and led a team of six engineers and was responsible for the definition, implementation, scheduling, resource allocation, documentation, mentoring, and transformation of the Navis LightShip API into a commercial, development kit. The kit included an entirely new client application, complete with full source code and binaries, IDLs, documentation, and a turnkey build environment for the Windows and Solaris platforms. The client application, named CATT, could operate via RMI or RMI-IIOP with the Configuration Server.• The CATT client was extremely successful and was used by both the embedded and application QA teams to qualify software releases, perform regression tests, and served as an important tool to find implementation problems and performance issues within the client and server. The articles developed for the kit directly resulted in higher quality, availability, and improved performance across the IPSS device and LightShip management software suite.• Integrated Visibroker for Java ORB and Sun IDL ORB into the Navis LightShip API. This enabled the configuration server to operate with the IIOP used by CORBA in addition to the JRMP used by Java RMI. Navis LightShip Configuration Application• Developed and co-led the definition, design, and a team of nine engineers to implement the LightShip Configuration application. Additional responsibilities included monitoring all development that was part of or impacted the API.Navis LightShip API• Developer and leader in the definition, design, and implementation of a common client-server API that would operate via RMI (Java) and RMII-IIOP (CORBA). Navis LightShip Installer• Defined, designed, and created a multi-platform, Java-based installer. The installer uses an Install Anywhere engine and is capable of installing a fully customized Oracle DB, an Apache Web Server, a JVM, the LightShip software suite and documentation.
