Quality Assurance Coordinator
CurrentPerform all duties of the position with safety as the first priority and in accordance with Westpower’s HSE Manual.Ensure that safety and other issues and suggestions are brought to the attention of the Manager.Master project schedule owner. Work with shop supervisor on the shop scheduleUpdate the database with QA numbers and route sheetsNDE – LPI, MPI, and PMI (if applicable).Quality control inspections of incoming material and services, work-in-process, and final inspection to assembly checklists.Conduct quality inspections of all machined parts; including parts machined in-house and parts received by third party suppliers.Quality control inspections of welding and coatings.Calibrate all Westpower’s test and measurement equipment in line with National/HI standards.Maintain calibration and preventative maintenance records in Gagepak.Check the accuracy and completeness of parts and services ordered to technical specification and manufacturing drawings.Work within the defined document control system for the use and population of forms and reports.Control of non-conformances to Westpower’s existing procedures.Participation in SNAG meetings and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Witness performance, hydro and pneumatic tests when necessary.Assist the operations team in preparing for external audits.Selects, orders and controls tooling when required.Follow the quality processes and guidelines as set by Westpower.Assist with Safety processes, including scanning and posting of training, inspections and other safety documentation.Ensure proper record keeping for contractor compliance (orientations, tickets, etc.)Responsible to clean-up: at the end of a shift, at the end of a process, when safety deems it necessary and/or when finished with a shared piece of equipment.Maintain a tidy work area free of hazards; including shared work areas.Any other job related and support activity duties as required.
