Following a professional traineeship at Mercer Consulting, Tony moved to product provider Standard Life working specifically on Group Pensions where he built on his existing knowledge via excellent training development programmes. He then made a strategic career move to Scottish Amicable (now Prudential) where he remained for 11 years, predominantly in Sales Management. At the end of the 1990s, Tony decided to move to the client facing side of financial services and joined Sinclair Wood & Co. Chartered Accountants in March 2000. A new joint venture IFA business Sinclair Wood Asset Management Ltd was created in October 2001. Tony then co-founded Wellington Wealth Ltd, authorised in January 2015. After a successful first year it was decided to demerge the business into two separate entities. As part of the agreement, a new brand Verum Wealth Ltd was created with Tony continuing as CEO. The other shareholders set up a new business whilst retaining the Wellington Wealth brand.For three years, Tony has been a tutor on the Financial Services paper within the Joint Legal Diploma (LLB) of Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities. Further information: Outside of working hours, Tony's elongated rugby career has now given way to mediocre tennis and bad golf.
