I work with small to medium size enterprises providing advice and support to define their business processes and recommend efficient and affordable solutions to align with business needs. Areas I work in include website design and development, social media integration, records management and mobile device application integrations.

Responsible for providing the information and knowledge needed for the growing demands of the organisation. The organisation increasingly demanded completeness of information along with accuracy and currency. The provision of this information comes in three forms. Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Business Intelligence (BI). All three leveraged from or interfaced with existing legacy systems.Responsibilities:• Manage the GIS team and systems to improve existing interfaces and data quality projects.• Manage the Records Teams and establish an EDRMS that reduced the need for paper record handling and storage.• Develop a Business Intelligence strategy and implement using appropriate project methodology.

Responsible for establishing a programme of work covering Distribution (works management), Corporate Support (Human Resources, Payroll, Legal, Finance and Corporate Support) and Smart Information (Business Intelligence and corporate reporting). This role establishes relationships with the key stakeholders within the organisation and identifies business opportunities that align to the organisational strategy and can translate into ICT projects to deliver value to the organisation. The role supports over 10 project managers and business analysts to deliver the programme of work with a multi-million dollar portfolio budget.Responsibilities:• Responsible for driving new portfolio management initiatives, overseeing of project management methodologies and project delivery.• Established a programme of work for the 2010/11 and 2011/12 financial years and associated project delivery.• In partnership with the Finance Department, developed a methodology for creating project work orders to provide more transparent and accountable reporting.• Provided specialist advice to business units in relation to the development and management of the application / infrastructure portfolios.• Designed short and medium-term goals to align directly with strategic plans.

Responsible for managing all aspects of systems development for the corporate systems used by Brisbane Water. This role focused heavily on understanding the business needs of Brisbane Water and translating and championing those needs into successfully delivered ICT projects. Responsible for managing 10 staff including Business Analysts, product specific subject matter experts and developers. Accountable for a capital budget of $2 million annually.Responsibilities:• Manage Active engagement with key business stakeholders to clarify and articulate ICT requirements.• Effective operation and liaison with Brisbane City Council IT Department to deliver projects (large and small).• Extensive demonstrated experience in the management of ICT Teams and delivery of ICT projects.• Analytical development of business cases, benefits realisation planning and cost benefit analysis.• The development and maintenance of IT strategic plans.• Creation of a positive work environment in a high performance team with a strong focus on customer service, equity, participation, and accountability.• Collaboration with project teams, including solution architects, legal and construction teams.• Encouragement of innovation with proven attributes of initiative and drive.• Provide leadership and support for staff transitioning from Brisbane Water to Queensland Urban Utilities.• Overall responsibilities included project planning, prioritisation, scheduling, resource planning, tracking and collaboration. Daily responsibilities included leading daily project status meetings and providing weekly/ bi-weekly status reports and updates to senior management.

Develop and implement strategies to improve the effective use of the ERP systems. Work alongside stakeholders to understand their needs and recommend opportunities for improvement where appropriate.

Responsible for all aspects of information technology within HMV Japan, including IT Strategy, staff development, system development, IT Operations, Internet, and e-commerce system support. HMV Japan had an aggressive expansion plan and required an IT strategy to support it.Projects Completed as part of the IT Strategy:• Upgrade Wide Area Network to increase resilience and bandwidth between stores.• Development of Intranet as collaboration tool• Establishment of data centre to house mission critical applications• Drove efficiencies and cost reductions through the introduction of EDI for order placement• Dramatically reduced telephony costs through the introduction of IP phones over the upgraded Wide Area Network.• Upgrade of Mail System• Introduction of a product recycling centre (warehouse)• Introduction of new point-of-sale system • Setting up systems for new stores (approximately 10 per year)
