TrackMy Solutions is a web application company serving the healthcare industry offering compliance, consulting, and other services. I was the director of finance as the company shifted gears during the pandemic into the long-term solutions it offers today.

BHE Renewables has a geothermal plant in Imperial Valley in California generating 345 MW to customers in Southern California. I interface with the plant managers to develop forecasts, budgets, and targets to meet our goals as an organization. I communicate variances to management and leadership. I work with the project analysts and accountants to meet reporting requirements while being flexible to the changing needs of the organization.

eForms Consulting is a mobile platform that allows you to build your own forms, design your own output and gain massive efficiencies for your business. I build the mobile forms and design outputs for clients outsourcing their initial build, build prototypes for potential clients, and help define the scope of projects. The goal is to empower the client and their employees to eliminate redundant tasks and be able to get insight into their operations while in the field. Some of the forms we build include time keeping, to employee on-boarding, checklists, toolbox talks, regulatory filings, and more.

Being the only accountant on the development team, I have a wide range of tasks and responsibilities from assisting in tax and audits to general ledger and accounts payable processing. To put it simply, I wear a lot of hats. I prepare the monthly financials for entities in pre-development, under development, and in operations. I instituted process improvements to solidify the integrity and accuracy of the accounting records and maintain backup documentation. I interface with bankers to process payment applications for projects under construction and to obtain loan financing for projects in pre-development. I work with our auditors and tax accountants to ensure proper records and projections. I created and maintain variance analysis reporting of our entities comparing actual performance to pro forma, forecast, and budget estimates. I review our investment performance and review financials monthly from our property managers.

I prepared flash (monthly financial close and analysis),and forecast variance analysis and related reports for management. I prepared journal entries to ensure accuracy in financial reporting including the account reconciliations. I also prepared the budget and related reports and ensure the accuracy and reasonableness of assumptions. I also worked with management to develop sales incentive programs.

I performed audit, tax, regulatory, and other accounting procedures. This required me to travel to client sites to conduct fieldwork as part of the audit or review. I prepared financial statements, including the notes to the financial statements. In April 2014, I prepared Department of Revenue regulatory filings for clients, and assisted with making the process quicker. My summer assignments included preparing tax returns for clients and am in charge of preparing the monthly general ledger for two clients. I also worked on continuing property records for regulatory filings.

As a project accountant, I actively managed the revenue and billing schedules for over 300 clients. As such, I analyzed the financial impacts to contracts both prior and post execution of amendments. I was in charge of discretionary credits extended to clients, and the proper accounting of the credits.

I was actively engaged with various teams within the finance department, including the finance systems team, expense team, general ledger team, enterprise risk management team, and as a project accountant, where I was ultimately placed. I was asked to help aid in various projects on each team. These projects were an as needed basis, and were in various stages of completion. This gave me a high-level view of the finance department, and provided me with the tools to be successful in my position as a project accountant.

I was actively involved with a partner in the firm. I traveled to fourteen different audit engagement to assist in audit fieldwork. I also assisted with financial reporting, tax services, and regulatory reporting.
