• Developed DIACAP packages for submittal to Government customer for launch operations, using approved security-related documents and tools• Applied security measures (STIGs / STEs) to various range operating systems, databases and network devices including, but not limited to, Windows Server 2003 / 2008, Windows Operating Systems, and Cisco routers/switches• Applied technical knowledge and analytical skills to ensure all products / systems providing security for Information Systems (IS) have been properly assessed and evaluated• Utilizes approved security tools such as eEye Retina scanner and network sniffers to assess the security posture of DoD networks• Worked projects, which included utilizing the Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) process; was able to research vulnerability issues and recommended fixes that improve systems security posture• Completed security assessment of a major messaging services project, which included 30-plus sites; DIACAP package was submitted on time and identified some major security flaws in both developing and existing messaging systems
