Designing valuable, usable, and manufacturable solutions for my clients. I create solutions by performing primary and secondary research, research synthesis, design direction, concept creation, illustration and rendering, prototyping, 3D modeling, development, and production support.

As Senior Designer, was responsible for developing designs for a variety of products across multiple businesses, including engine design, motors, tower lighting, and lawn care equipment. Also co-wrote the first draft of the ID process manual for B&S corporate. Developed the UX and UI for an Allmand Hybrid Light Tower.

InsideOut is a leadership community custom-built for senior leaders of in-house design, creative and experience teams at high profile brands. Our small format roundtables provide space to connect, collaborate and generate new ways to move business forward, faster.

The L&L division of Milwaukee Tool encompasses a wide range of lighting and equipment. My leadership provided the design team with the tools they needed to succeed, and ensured that the department was meeting its business goals. Managed the team’s execution of the company’s Design Brand Language.● Drove a consistent level of project execution with over 30 SKUs completed within 22 months of my addition to the team. 20 more are in the hopper for completion in early 2024.● Led team to deliver a new to the world innovative lighting solution to design execution within two years- a new record for MT, and seen as a great example of corporate processes working correctly.● Design team earned industry awards for their work in personal lighting. Full team earned over 10 design and development awards in 2022 alone. ● Developed a junior team of eight. Grew team to 12 and promoted three designers. Central contributor to bringing overall team size from 30 to 60 designers within two years.● Created and Expanded the Apparel Design team. Added 3 apparel designers who were then folded into a new department as a direct result of my contributions. ● Redeveloped the role descriptions for the entire design department, fitting them into the corporate performance expectations and culture. All roles were built providing clear growth paths, as well as separate practitioner and leadership paths.

Designed products, Managed team's output quality, directed execution of design language, and mentored the staff in best practices to introduce 20–30 new products per year.● Created next-gen Kenmore Visual Brand Language Strategy and streamlined the onboarding of new licensees, resulting in efficient communication with external partners.● Directed collaborative ID and UX teams from research through delivery of comprehensive plan for the Kenmore App 2.0.● Developed Kenmore Brand Mantra Strategy with the CMO to align entire organization, enabling targeted development processes.

● Focused Kenmore Intuition Vacuum cleaner project on differentiated aesthetics. First shipment sold out in weeks, with no advertising.● Collaborated with full business unit to redesign the entire Kenmore PRO product line.● Led a mid-cycle redesign to Kenmore Elite Refrigerators.

● Redesigned entire lawn tractor/mower portfolio via user-centered design process.● Developed Product Branding Guideline which streamlined management of multiple partners

Managed both the client interactions and end user needs to deliver highly successful products that resulted in increased sales and design awards. Clients included OXO, Lincoln Electric, MSA, Vocollect, and Medrad.

Working as a freelance designer for a medium sized product development firm. Worked on various ID programs with heavy attention to human factors research and ergonomics.

Joined as a junior designer and worked up to a staff level position. Developed critical experience in every aspect of the design process including CAD and model making, as well as a great deal of user-centered research, and its translation into actionable design. Became very proficient at full art-to-part design process.
