Tony practices in real estate, immigration and naturalization, business transactions since 1980. He has counseled thousands of clients from Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan in fulfilling their dreams as immigrants.He grew up in Hong Kong and came to the U.S. as a student pursuing higher education at the age of 17. Tony is fluent in Mandarin in addition to his native Cantonese.Tony promotes diversity in politics and board rooms. He testified before the Illinois House to support redistricting of Chinatown as a single district resulting in electing a Chinese American state representative to the 2d District. Tony currently serves as a Director and Chairman of the Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce; Director of the Chinese American Bar Association; Board Director of the Mercy Hospital and Medical Center; member of the University of Illinois at Chicago's Asian Advisory Council. He served as a member of the Cook County State's Attorney Asian American Advisory Council; Asian American Advisory Council to US Senator Kirk; Director and Legal Counsel for the Hong Kong Club; Advisor to the Chinese American Service League; Member of the Community Council for the State Treasurer of Illinois; past President of the Friends of Chinatown Public Library; former Legal Counsel of the Organization of Chinese Americans.Tony was recognized by the Cook County State's Attorney for his service to the Asian communities with the Asian Pacific American Community Service Award. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award form the Chinese American Bar Association for his contribution to the legal profession as a distinguished attorney. The Chicago Bar Association awarded him the prestigious Vanguard Award for promoting assess to the legal community. He received the Advocate for Diversity Award from the John Marshall Law School and Diversity Scholarship Foundation. He was named Chicago's Philanthropist in Mandarin Leader. Tony was an At Large Delegate at the Democratic Conventions in 2012 and 2016.
