I am currently the Chief Engineer at Homewood Suites-Savannah. I manage all required repairs and upgrades. I also maintain our level of stock needed to perform our duties. In addition I continually update our energy use site and track trends in our energy use. I have also served as the Director of Rooms managing engineering and housekeeping. I have also filled in as the Assist General Manager until a replacement could be found. This required running the front desk operations as well as our kitchen staff. This included making all schedules for the hotel and insuring the food orders were placed so we always had what was needed. Serve as Manager on Duty when required, which in our case you are the only manager on property and are responsible for hotel operations and handle any situations that may arise. I am the only Certified Pool Operator on staff, I maintain all pool logs and insure we are in Health Department requirements. Any contract work we require I solicit bids and submit to our regional manager for approval. I schedule all work assignments and insure we have the proper materials to complete the work correctly.

We did small home repairs as well as some commercial repairs. These consisted remodeling homes, building decks and fences and additions. We worked with other contractors on many projects on commercial projects. I managed the sales, planning of the projects and the timing of each project. I kept all the books, did payroll each week and filed all applicable taxes.

I served as the Chief of Operations, my duties included managing all personnel in the Operations group, was the Resource Advisor for Operations which included managing all the government credit cards issued within Operations. I also was the Munitions Accountable Supply Officer, which managed all munitions stored on our base. I trained all account managers and insured that all accounts were correct. I served as our Senior Enlisted Advisor and was the Vice Chairman of our units advisory council. I also was part of our senior staff and attended all staff meeting. Since we served as a training site I conducted incoming briefings to all units deploying for training. I retired in October 2006.
