I began my career in 1987, when I was hired at Bloomingdale’s as an executive trainee in the White Plains, NY store. For nearly three decades, I proudly served Bloomingdale’s across the business and was appointed President in 2008 and Chairman and CEO in 2014.Today, I serve as President and incoming CEO for Macy’s Inc. At Macy’s, our purpose is clear; we strive to create a brighter future with bold representation, so we can realize the full potential of every one of us across our iconic nameplates; Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Bluemercury. Our talented team of more than 90,000 employees worldwide are at the heart of what we do and drive our purpose. With over 722 retail locations, we work together to create memorable, premier retail experiences that meet our loyal consumers where they want to shop and help them to express their individual style.Outside of my role with Macy’s, I’m an avid reader, including everything from a good old-fashioned newspaper to classic literature. When I’m not working, I am a passionate foodie, always seeking out the next best restaurant. I love watching great movies, tv, and keeping up with current events. I especially enjoy family time with my wife and sons.
