This role was responsible for: - Market operations for 10 units across three states in the Australia; - Selling and shipping gas to customers from Victoria to Sydney and Tasmania; - Trading gas via the Victorian Gas Market (VENCorp); - Reporting trading performance and market outcomes to management; and - Managing development of in-house trading IT systems.Primary challenges for this position were the aggregation of the trading roles to Brisbane without retaining original staff in a short period of time. This was done with few staff, as attracting new staff was difficult for the company at the time. Relocation of dispatch operations, including replacing one bidding system was completed in less than three months.
