After graduating with my associates degree in Accounting in 2013 I spent two years working for a CPA firm that prepared taxes for businesses and individuals. I learned about many tax regulations pertinent to small businesses and best accounting practices that keep businesses tax compliant.Since 2015 I have worked as an accountant for Continental Bank. I have developed first hand knowledge regarding many banking regulations and spent a considerable amount of time working with auditors and developing and documenting procedures that strengthen internal controls on the accounting team.Since 2018 I have been attending the University of Utah pursuing a Bachelors in Finance while concurrently maintaining my full-time work at the bank. During my time at the university I have studied many universal finance concepts and sought to understand more about real estate finance and appraisal, corporate finance and investment banking. I am also pursuing more technical knowledge by learning Python. I graduated in May 2022. After graduation I plan to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.I am open to positions as a financial analyst as well as positions that will allow me to learn more about the real estate industry.
