With three decades of experience in the management of parks and protected areas, including 20 years in senior management and executive leadership roles, I have worked across many disciplines from strategic park planning, and policy development to park operations, conservation programs, environmental and social research, management effectiveness evaluation, volunteering, environmental education and heritage management. As conservation outcomes are so dependent both on an engaged and supportive community and a strong evidence base, over the last decade my focus has been in creating strategy and innovative partnerships that educate, build conservation literacy, enable inclusion, and generate positive community health and wellbeing- all the context of quantifying the benefits of parks, protected areas and green spaces.
