I grew the organization supporting business of various sizes from small to national in scale. As VoIP grew in use I managed to scale this portion of the business to eventually become the bread and butter of the company, bringing five years of previous VoIP engineering experience with me. While previously I had specialized in Cisco VoIP and Unified Messaging, I found greatest success with other platforms that were easier for organizations to make the move to and more cost effective for them to start, operate and manage. I also worked extensively on infrastructure, virtualization and application system projects including holding many managed service agreements. I elected to close this company after a personal decision to work for the church.

It (Systems) ManagerCity Of Caldwell 1999 - 2005As the IT Manager for the City of Caldwell, my responsibilities covered the full spectrum of IT Management. From technology forecasting to budgeting, team building, design, implementation and oversight of infrastructure, application system (including integrations and migrations) as well as support and oversight of internal and online public facing public service systems such as utility billing portals. This position also required specialized training and certification for support and management of state run database access by our local law enforcement agency and systems used by our fire departments. In this position, I implemented the second largest VoIP implementation in the state, from RFP to vendor selection, to aiding with implementation including call flow design for the entire organization including the private emergency phone service the City provided on their own. Near the end of my tenure here, I assisted with the merger of staff and technology between the City Policy and County Sheriff dispatch teams as I oversaw the migration and merger of all related systems.
