Construction Branch has over 30 employees. Employees include members of two different labor unions. Branch is responsible for final phase of capital improvement projects for the district. Projects range in construction amounts from $50,000 to $30 Million. Responsibilities include communication to staff and other MSD divisions, review of construction change requests and change orders.• Supervision of five construction managers in the Construction Management Branch. Construction managers are responsible for construction oversight of wastewater treatment, wastewater collections and watershed operations capital improvement projects for the district. • Manages responses to citizens’ issues on construction projects. Coordinates with MSD development services, wastewater collections, wastewater treatment, City and County departments and other municipalities before, during and after construction activities.

Providing guidance to Senior Engineers and providing support to Principal Engineer.• Manager of four project managers in the Project Management Branch. Project managers are responsible for scope, schedule and budget of wastewater treatment, wastewater collections and watershed operations capital improvement projects for the district. Projects are in various stages of completion; from planning to project closeout. Branch manages an average of $22 million in annual design services. Responsibilities include communication to staff and other MSD divisions and review of branch deliverables.• Project manager for the Werk Westbourne Enhanced High Rate Treatment Project. The project had a $44 million budget and was a Consent Decree project which met all of its’ deadlines. Responsibilities included negotiating design and construction phase services, review of design submittals, oversight of construction phase and communication with the public.• Supervised completion of the District Wide Wastewater Treatment SCADA project. Negotiated final change order when previous project manager retired.

Responsibilities included technical design from conception to construction documents, development of cost estimates and preparation of record documents.• Designed utility relocation for the Newport Pavilion Development Project. Project included relocation of 4,000 feet of 20” water mains, replacement of 2,100 feet of 30” sewer and 2,500 feet of new 8-24” diameter sanitary sewer. Coordinated with gas, electric, telephone, cable and storm utilities. -
