With over a decade of experience in higher education, I am the Director of Student Success at Bennett College, a historically black liberal arts college for women. I have a Master of Arts in English and African American Literature from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and a Master of Arts in Women's and Gender Studies from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I also hold multiple certifications in data and analytics, effective online instruction, and safe zone. My core competencies include workshop facilitation, social networking, higher education, and curriculum development. My mission is to empower students from diverse backgrounds with writing and success skills, and to foster a culture of inclusion and excellence at Bennett College. I am passionate about enhancing student engagement, retention, and outcomes, and I am always eager to learn from and collaborate with my colleagues and peers. I have contributed to various programs and initiatives that support student success, such as the Writing Center, the Emerging Scholars Program, and the Curriculum Learning Center. I also serve as an adjunct faculty and a success coach, providing academic and professional guidance to students.
