About Tonya M. Keys

I am the Director of Human Capital and Business Operations for the Office of Defense Programs, a critical component of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) that ensures the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile. With 15+ years of experience in the Department of Energy (DOE)/NNSA, I have extensive knowledge and expertise in human capital, training, policy, and security matters.In my current role, I lead and coordinate four divisions that provide essential services to over 1100 federal and contractor staff across the NNSA Nuclear Security Enterprise. I am responsible for facilitating and implementing organizational policies, guidance, directives, and procedures related to human capital actions and business operations areas. I also interface with NNSA policy organizations as a technical authority advisor.
