Additionally, I thrive on breaking down silos within organizations, finding clarity in crisis, and building high-performing and engaging teams.I began my career at IBM as an associate engineer and joined Lexmark International, one of the most innovative imaging and IoT solutions companies, at its inception in 1991. During ongoing 30-plus-year tenure at Lexmark, I advanced from an engineering role (where I co-authored 5 US patents related to Lexmark’s ink jet printing technology), into various executive and three (3) distinct C-suite leadership roles: Chief Supply Chain Officer, Chief Product Delivery Officer, and currently, Chief People Officer. I am proud to have served an integral role in shaping and leading Lexmark through its transformation from a public company to divestiture of its ink division, and ultimate acquisition and transition to a private company. As a key member of the executive team, I worked on the due diligence processes, led the operations integration, and advised on other post-integration strategies. These experiences have enabled me to develop a deep understanding of global manufacturing and worldwide operations, while serving as a key architect of Lexmark’s long-term vision and strategy that extends into different geographies and portfolio management across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.Additionally, I bring a record of service on public, private, and nonprofit boards and committees in diverse industries. Currently, I serve as an independent director for Hooker Furnishings Corp. (NASDAQ: HOFT), one of the largest publicly traded furniture companies, as well as a board member for Bluegrass Airport, and an advisory board member for boom!
