Tonya Douglas brings her business experience into her private practice at Innovative Counseling and Forensic Evaluations. She believes it is important to help people recognize and reach their goals and to fulfill their dreams. She helps individuals, couples and families, both intact and blended, find ways to improve their lives and their relationships. She managed the mental health department for Armor at the Baker County Sheriff's Office for five and a half years. Her mental health department has received the highest accolades in the mental health industry. Her department has been recognized as the finest mental health program in a correctional setting by three independent auditing teams. Three federal agencies gave her program this acknowledgement: Civil Rights Civil Liberties (CRCL), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and The Department of Justice. She has been an entrepreneur for 20 years and has incorporated her vast knowledge of business ownership into her management style. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with licensing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, She also has licensing in Neurolinguistic Programming in Hypnosis, as well as certifications as a nationally certified counselor, psychometric testing in forensic populations and forensic behavior analysis. The forensic behavior analyst certification was done by the former chief of the Behavior Analysis Unit of the FBI., Dr. Gregory Vecchi. Tonya enjoys horses, trail riding with friends, gardening, landscaping, home improvement projects, traveling, dining with friends at home and on the town and most any kind of music.
